About Audiolier

Home Entertainment Solutions, Designed as One

Audiolier was not born overnight. It is the result of decades of experience, hard lessons learned, and one important shift in thinking.

In July of 2005, Audiolier began as Showplace Systems, created to solve a very real problem: traditional fireplaces were becoming impractical, and the new flat‑panel televisions of the time—large, dark, and visually intrusive—were being awkwardly mounted above them. The idea was simple and forward‑thinking: integrate high‑definition flat‑panel TVs into beautifully designed cabinetry to make living spaces safer, more versatile and more visually refined.

There was one major problem with those early televisions—the sound. Flat screens looked modern, but they sounded terrible and still do. To solve that, a full stereo or 5.1 theater sound system was designed and built directly into custom cabinetry. The result was exceptional. Visually clean. Sonically powerful. A true home theater experience.

At the time, it was branded as the perfect Fireplace Theater. And while the solution itself was right, the framing was wrong.

That single idea—thinking in terms of fireplaces—quietly limited everything that followed.

Audiolier was never actually building fireplaces. What was being created was far more important: a precision-engineered, furniture-grade home entertainment solution — designed to integrate display, sound, cabinetry, and architectural presence into a single, cohesive system.

Designing and building integrated home entertainment solutions—engineered as theaters from the beginning.

One that could replace a traditional fireplace, coexist with one or stand completely on its own—especially in homes and multi‑family environments where open flames, heat or traditional fireplaces are restricted or banned.

That realization came later, and it changed everything.

By letting go of the fireplace mindset, Audiolier finally aligned with its true purpose: designing and building all‑in‑one home entertainment theaters—objects of furniture‑grade craftsmanship that deliver immersive sound, visual harmony and architectural presence.

Another key breakthrough followed. Instead of investing time and cost into building custom speakers from scratch, Audiolier embraced carefully selected, high‑performance speaker components—allowing more focus on system design, acoustic integration and cabinetry excellence. It was an epiphany that unlocked speed, flexibility and scalability.

At the heart of Audiolier is experience.

The founder is an audio engineer with deep roots in television and sound systems, spanning the evolution from early broadcast technology to today’s smart, high‑definition displays. Now in his mid‑80s, that lifetime of knowledge is not theoretical—it is practical, proven and deeply intuitive. Technology is not a trend here; it is part of the DNA.

That technical background is matched with master‑level woodworking skill. Audiolier cabinetry is designed and built with precision, confidence, and ease—because it is all done with a single, focused purpose in mind.

To create the finest integrated home entertainment solutions possible.

Every Audiolier piece is:

  • Designed specifically for modern flat‑screen televisions

  • Engineered for true high‑definition sound

  • Built as furniture, not electronics

  • Created to elevate the living space, not dominate it

Audiolier is not a fireplace company.

But it has never abandoned the fireplace idea.

In fact, the original fireplace inspiration is still very much alive—reimagined for modern living.

Every Audiolier Theater is designed with the fireplace experience in mind. With simple voice control, the theater can instantly transform into a fireplace using one of hundreds of high‑definition fireplace visuals available today. The warmth, movement, and ambiance people love are preserved—without flames, heat, smoke or safety concerns.

In this way, Audiolier provides a modern fireplace solution as part of a complete home entertainment system.

Audiolier theaters can supplant traditional fireplaces entirely, coexist alongside them, or provide a beautiful alternative where fireplaces are restricted, impractical or no longer desired. This makes Audiolier an ideal solution for modern homes, multi‑family residences and environments where safety, flexibility and design freedom matter most.

It is not a compromise.

It is a complete home entertainment solution—one that unites theater, architecture, and ambiance into a single, intentional design.

It is an evolution.

This is what Audiolier was always meant to be.
